Biography
Ajani, Alice O. is a Food Scientist and Zonal Coordinator of Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute, Kano, Kano State, Nigeria.
She obtained her first degree in Food Science and Technology from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria in 2002.
She also obtained Masters (M.Sc.) in Food Technology from University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2009 and PhD in Food Processing and Quality Control at the same university.
She started her career as Quality Assurance Officer at Tantalizers Nigeria Limited, Abuja, Nigeria. She later moved to processing section of the same organization as Assistant Production Manager (2004-2007).
She was the Head, Food Processing Unit and Head of Programme (Roots and Tubers) of Perishable Crops Research Department, NSPRI, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria.
Ajani Alice is a Norman Borlaug Fellow (2012) and Australia Awards Fellow (2018). She is a member of Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology, NiWARD, as well as a member of Mycotoxicogy Society of Nigeria.
Ajani Alice has made significant contributions to knowledge in the areas of underutilized crops, food safety with more than twenty (20) publications in peer reviewed journals and book.
She has obtained Nuffic Fellowship Program Grant, Kumasi-Ghana (2015). She is also part of Breadfruit Awareness Team in Africa with support from First Avenue International and National Tropical Botanical Garden (Breadfruit Institute).
Ajani Alice has participated in programmes and community projects sponsored by National and international organizations especially on youths and women empowerments/ trainings.
